どんなことでも成し遂げることができる
If I try things with a strong faith,
it’s possible to accomplish everything.
The reason for starting
48才の時、竹で炭を焼きだした。
仲間で窯を作り炭を作った。
炭作りは火加減がとても難しく、
燃えて灰になってしまたりしていた。
そんな中、たまたま竹を磨いてみると
竹の筋（模様）がとても綺麗だと気づき、
機械を使いカット、広げる、曲げるなど
形を作るようになった。
知人に「個展をしてはどうか？」と話がきた。
意見が欲しく個展を開いてみた。
その時のお客様から「”竜宮城”のようだ！」
と言われ、とても嬉しくそこから熱心に竹と
向き合うようになった。
今では海外の方にも見ていただき
夢はパリコレである。
When I was 48 years old, I started to burn bamboos by charcoal,and firstly, created a kiln and next, created charcoal.
It was very difficult to create charcoal in terms of strength of fire And bamboos became ash many times.
In the situation, when I polished bamboos, I noticed that bamboo pattern is so beautiful.
Then, I started to cut, expand and bend shapes of bamboos with using machines.
After a time, I was said by a friend that why don’t you try holding a personal exhibition.
Then, I tried holding a personal exhibition to know everyone’s impressions.
At that time, I was really glad for that I was said “It’s like Dragon Palace.” From there, I came to passionately face with bamboos.
And then now, my dreams are that my works will be seen by people all over the world and will be exhibited in Paris collection.
Evaluation of others
賛否両論であった。
「これは何だ」と笑うものもいた、
「この作品は邪道だっ！」という声もあった。
しかし、多くの人々は
「このようなもの見たことない！」
「すごい、感動した！」
など嬉しい声をたくさんいただきました。
一人で作っていると何が良くて何が悪いのか
わからなくなる時がある。
そして誰もやっていないことを
やっているので、誰かに聞くことも
指導をしてもらうこともできない。
なのでいろんな人々の声を聴けることは
私にとってとても素晴らしい事でした。
When I was 48 years old, I started to burn bamboos by charcoal,and firstly, created a kiln and next, created charcoal.
My works were pros and cons.
People who laughed the works also existed.
People who said these are blasphemy also existed.
However, most people said to me that “Amazing” “I was moved”.
Sometimes I don’t know what’s good and what’s bad when I make them alone.
And because I do things that everyone hasn’t never done, I can’t ask anyone.
So, it was great that I could listen to thoughts of various people.
My history
竹のアートを作る前、
私は車の板金塗装の仕事をしていました。
オーロラのように様々な輝きをする
色の塗装をよく頼まれていた。
私はお客様の希望の色を出すことが
とても得意でした。
しかし、仕事中の不慮の事故により、
左目の視力を失ってしまった。
そこから色を負わせることが
困難になりました。
私は一から自分の手で
何かを作ることが好きでした。
クラッシックカーを一から
作り上げていたこともあります。
片目を失ってから、もう一度私に
モノづくりの楽しさ、すばらしさ、
ワクワクする気持ちを与えてくれたのは
竹でした。
Before making bamboo arts, I worked for sheet metal painting for cars.
I was often asked to paint various brilliant color of customers.
However, I lost my left eye by and accident at work.
From there, it became difficult to add color.
I liked making something with own hands from scratch.
After losing my eye, it was bamboo that gave me the joy of manufacturing and the excitement of making things.
